Would a typical auto tranny pump be considered a high flow? I'm just curious how long it would take to pump the fluid one complete cycle inside the tranny and does rpm affect flow rate?

One would think that the pump would be high flow as auto transmissions work on hydraulic pressure and without it you don't go anywhere.

I recently did three vac's and fill's on my daughters Hyundai(six qts)trannny before the fluid looked clean. I drove 5 miles between each fill hoping that was adequate for thorough mixing.

On all my vehicles with automatic transmissions, I do a simple drain and fill (via the oil pan's drain plug) each spring before the summer heat arrives. No tranny problems whatsoever with 4 quarts of fresh ATF each year.
