Took delivery of my Tundra 5.7 101K

It's not a design flaw. There wasn't enough rtv applied on some of the engines when they were assembled which can mean a leak on some, obviously. These engines last hundreds of thousands of miles on 0w-20.
 
Cam towers are sealed using sealant. Oil viscosity will have zero impact on this.
 
Congrats. My new to me 08 with 108k last fall. Ditto what others have said re: oil and cam seals.

Do your maintenance refresh and enjoy it.
