Nukumori no Mori Or Nukumori Forest, Forest of Warmth. was built by Shigeyoshi Sasaki who was fascinated by medieval European buildings. Visiting the fantasy village is like stepping into a Studio Ghibli Ghibli movie. There are arts and crafts shops, food, and whatnot.

Toyohashi Station in Toyohashi City, catching a Shinkansen to Kyoto earlier today.

My bullet train, named Kodama, has arrived. This is a slow one. It has to stop frequently so it only foes 285 kmh/177mph. The fastest ones make it to 200 mph.

Another bullet train pulled up next to my train

Leaving the station

Getting cloudy and dark

Getting sunny

Rice ball and barley tea

I have arrived in Kyoto where I will spend two days. The gates prevent people from falling onto the tracks. It can get crowded!
