There have been a lot of surprising outcomes in many of the NFL games so far this year. This weekend was more of the same. I think the two biggest surprises were the Carolina Panthers killing the Atlanta Falcons and especially last night in the New England/Houston game. Even as a NE fan, I expected a close game (maybe even the Pats losing), not the total nuclear destruction that the Pats did to the Texans. I think my favorite NFC team, the 49ers, have reason to be majorly worried about next Sunday night when they head to Foxboro.
I think anyone would be jumping the gun big time if they try and pick a Super Bowl winner now because I think you have at least 10 teams who are quite capable of doing so. The NFL is so unpredictable right now that watching it is like seeing a NASCAR race at Daytona or Talladega. Since when did the NFL start using restrictor plates?!?
