Settle down, Joe Dirt.Nope. Ripped jeans, bare feet and an AC/DC concert T from '87.
Does the pao have a higher "film" strength that the regular M1 oil?It is an upgrade. The EP formulation contains a significant amount of PAO.
I never suggested that there should be caution trying new product, I asked a question from a different angle, what is the advantage?I don't think he needs to proceed with caution.
Intresting, Id be more cautious to use a new thing vs something thats been around and has good reputation
Don't know.Does the pao have a higher "film" strength that the regular M1 oil?
For me personally, I like products thats been around for a long time and used by a lot of people with good results. But thats just me, I misspoke about caution, its more of a preference. In the end it doesn't make a difference, but I simply asked why you would be cautious in trying a new Valvoline product.
It has nothing do with any advantage.
dat moly doeOne is high PAO other is GTL + high Moly. Which do you prefer?
What about picking oil by smell, M1 EP might smell better?@Shel_B picks his oil based on color. That's the best way to go.
I went to color to get over my oil smelling problem. I was afraid that taste was the next step. What about picking oil by smell, M1 EP might smell better?
All products change formulation on a regular basis and sometimes quite significantly. And not just because of an API license change either, sometime it is invisible to the typical consumer. No product has really been “around for a long time”.For me personally, I like products thats been around for a long time and used by a lot of people with good results. But they still carry the licenses, specifications and approvals listed on the container. Either through API Annex E interchange allowances or through recertification.Supertech is the first lubricant that comes to mind!
