Switching Back to old API grade?

Am I allowed to switch back. Right now I have 5w-30 Mobil 1 Extended Protection API SP in my 2013 G37, which calls for API SN. My father parents got rid of their 5w-30 vehicles and they have a couple 6 quart boxes of Havoline Syntheric 5w-30 SN+.

At any rate I always change the oil every 3750 miles but miss it by a few hundred miles sometimes. When I miss, I cut the next interval down a bit, so if I change it at 4000, I try to do the next at 3500. Worst I have done is about 1000 miles over, but it’s always been synthetic oil and a factory filter.

Any issues switching from M1 SP back to SN+ for a coupe oil changes?

This stuff is also from like 2019, so it’s a tad old. Any real worries?

Someone needs to correct me if I am wrong - but isn't SN+ in most anything other than 0W-16 pretty much the same as SP? Wasn't ILSAC GF6A / SP pretty much about going to the lower viscosity oils?

Either way to the OP - it meets your spec so use it up.
