Has one tried any of thise stuff?
http://www.stp.com/oil_stabil.html

It totes that it has more ZDDP then leading products and

Protects engine parts against corrosive wear by helping to combat internal motor rust
Reduces deposit buildup to help fight ring sticking
Conditions seals to help stop minor leaks
Increases the level of dispersants to help reduce sludge deposits
Boosts the level of detergency to help keep your engine clean

I've got a bottle but never used it. Looks to be just another zddp/Ca additive. Saying it has more than the leading oil stabilizer says nothing as I don't believe Lucas has ANY additives.

From the website:

High viscosity formula is specially formulated to help fight metal to metal friction by providing a thicker cushion between moving engine parts.

I think the formulators of STP and Lucas went to the same class: "Thicker is better!". Old way of thinking. I stay away from any product specifically designed to thicken my oil.

STP MSDS %95 mineral oil and a little bit of "zinc compounds". No CAS #'s either.

I'll pass.

It is made by Clorox, all those clorinated additives have gotta be good.
