They are not flank drive. They are 1980s vintage Craftsman. You'll notice a difference if your craftsman sockets and wrenches are so old that they aren't flank drive.
But snap on isn't 'noticeably' better than other modern sockets and wrenches from Tekton, Sunex or Carlyle, etc with flank drive.
And I own like $6,000 of snap-on tools...
Those are just bolt rounders, then. You'll be amazed by any socket or wrench made in the last 20 years. They are not flank drive. They are 1980s vintage Craftsman.
I agree that snap-on dual80 ratchets are the best ratchets on the market. Strong, fine-tooth and low back drag, cheap and easy to rebuild. They do it all.I really like the TLL72 and FL80 ratchets.
I feel their sockets are very overpriced and overrated so I don’t buy them at least not the chrome ones.
I'm not a professional wrench turner and money is not a factor in the decision.
.......money is not a factor in the decision.
I know it will vary, but typically, how much could I save by finding a local Snap On tool truck and purchase tools from him vs. purchasing though the Snap On website and paying full retail? There are so many good professional grade tools available, It's going to come down to your personnel preference. If you want Snap-on tools.....Try to find a local Rep.
Depends on the item, but on average, about 1/3 off if you work around their schedule and pay cash.I know it will vary, but typically, how much could I save by finding a local Snap On tool truck and purchase tools from him vs. purchasing though the Snap On website and paying full retail?
