I know the only spec SA has to meet is to be oily. However I have used Valvoline SB in small air compressors. What additive pack is in SB (anti wear, anti foam, rust/oxidation inhibs??) I need to change oil in pump on high pressure washer and wonder if anyone has knowledge. Thanks Dan

Usually just some ZDDP (which is an anti-oxidant and anti-wear), but may also contain some pour point depressant and anti-foam. SBs generally do not have detergents, dispersants, or VI Improvers.

Here ya go:

Valvoline Non-Detergent Motor Oil SAE 30 is a general purpose non-detergent engine oil. It is blended from premium base stocks with additives which provide wear and oxidation inhibition. Valvoline Non-Detergent Motor Oil SAE 30 is recommended for manual transmissions and gear boxes which do not require an extreme pressure gear lubricant. They are good lubricants for general purpose use and for some hydraulic systems. They can be used in selected older engines where the manufacturer recommends API SB or MM engine oils.

Valvoline Non-Detergent Motor Oil SAE 30 does not meet the performance requirements of any modern engines.
The Valvoline Non-Detergent Motor Oil SAE 30 Advantage:
Good general purpose lubricant as well as a hydraulic fluid for use in some hydraulic systems.
