This was inevitable.. Putin pushed the US and we backed down. He has been pushing everyone in the area ever since he moved into Syria. Turkey doesn't like to be pushed. They have the most powerful military in the middle east. Now Putin knows where the line is. He doesn't have the people or equipment to do more then stir the pot.

Now the logic of "cooperating" with the Russians in the bombing of ISIS in Syria ( we are told) but backing the Turks when they shoot down a Russian bomber on a combat mission against the same sort of rebels we are fighting is well beyond MY comprehension. ISIS must be laughing their whatevers off over this hypocrisy. Look, do we want to BEAT ISIS, or do we want to to allow our allies to shoot at aircraft engaged in the same mission we are? Can't the Turks, a part of NATO, HELP with this, rather than hindering it?
