remote fob stoped working

2021 malibu remote fob stopped working , changed battery in fob , still not working , i remember dropping it on something hard and said , oh thats not good ,
what would be my options as a DIYer ?

11 Tundra.
Bought a replacement from A mazon and took to a local locksmith/auto remote installer. $20.00
Charged me $20 to program it. I programmed my Pilot myself.

Of course, check Youtube first.
If Youtube don't have anything on it, then you probably need to give up the DIYer idea and go to Locksmith.
Or wait till there is something on Youtube then you can DIY.

My DAD had a Western Auto Store,,,keys were about 19 cents,,,well that was the early 60s, Im 77 and aging.lol

I have a car that uses a regular key. It's now $5 to get them copied at Home Depot.

Did you test the old battery before replacing it?
Did you check for bad solder joints on the part of the FOB that holds the battery in?
Did you try cleaning the contacts on the board?
