For those interested. VOA of Redline High Performance 0w-30 SP. Have been running SN 0w-30 Redline High Performance in my Ram 5.7 Hemi. Was curious of the formula change to SP. Thanks
Not a clue on the new formula, but I ran Red Line 5W20 for 55k-ish on my LS3 6.2. Never got around to running an oil analysis but I figured it didn’t hurt.
Grabbed this from the La Taberna del Motor YT channel. Guy does an OK job but ignores a lot of recent developments in current oil formulation technology.
Not sure what to make of this. He's in Spain so I don't know if RL is producing a different add pack there or this is the new SP version due to the Mg. Ca is higher than the SP 0w30 SP version though.
The source of the tin in redline is because a tin catalyst is used in the manufacturing of one of their esters. This is from jim chancey director of redline product development
