Quick question!

Not sure this is the right place, but its close ot the oil filter so here goes.

I suspect the oil filter mount on my 1999 super Duty F250 5.4L is FUBAR/SNAFU or otherwise not the approriate thread. lets not get into why lets just assume this is the case.

Question 1: What size allen wrench is needed to unscrew this from the oil filter cooler adapter plate?

Question 2: The OEM spec'ed FL820S filter has a thread of 22mmx1.5. I do not know the ring diameter (easy to measure when I need it) but are there other known filters which share the same mounting with a slightly different thread?

Answer 1: It's big, don't remember size.

Answer 2: FL500 Motorcraft or whatever crosses a Valvoline VO88 will spin on perfectly.

by "ring diameter" do you mean gasket size?
