cool, I used to have a 2005 Taurus, very comfortable car ! And I could lean in , change the oil filter- used a MITYVAC to change oil and trans fluid. Used Redline ATF- Transmission was still smooth when I sold it @120,00 miles2004 Ford Taurus
CAM2 5W-20 GF-6A oil
Almost 7000 miles on oil.
Pic taken while oil warm, about a half hour after shutdown. Level doesn't seem to change cold to hot on this car, which is actually a bit strange.

yep, PF screwed up the LM Ceratec test. It takes time for it to set in and bond to metal. If these tests aren't going to true and accurate then he should just stop. I would soon watch Piotr Tester on YouTube. His music is better.No. Totally different.

No, color is not a valid indicator. Aminic antioxidants change color quickly, but are still protecting the oil. A smart oil guy told me that, but I don’t know the specifics of function.Do you consider oil color as an indicator of degradation/oxidation?

2.0L Tiburon with 229,007miles. 1007mi into the oil change.
Mobil1 10w40. Car typically burns a quart every thousand miles. Although the first quart is usually consumed within 1200-1500 (then is topped off) then the subsequent top offs are burned off within 800-1,000 mi. So idk. I just go with a thousand to keep it simple.
So I really don't want to jynx it. But the car now has 232,213mi.^i went ahead and kept pushing the car til the 1250mi mark or so until I topped off a quart. Could've gone to 1400 before it hit the bottom line but I saw no reason to wait.
So update to this.So I really don't want to jynx it. But the car now has 232,213mi.
Meaning it has 1,213mi since the last oil change. In which I did a treatment of BerrymanB12. And it appears the oil is still above halfway on the dipstick... last time the oil was getting too close to the "L" for comfort so I topped it off at 1250mi. Improvements? (still using Mobil1 10w40 HM)
