I don't see much discussed about Phillips 66 Trop Artic motor oil. I've used the 5W-30 in my wife's 1998 Grand Am GT since day one.

My question: would it make a good oil for Auto-RX treatments? Is it low in esters?

Thanks!

Should be fine with Auto-Rx...its just a conventional oil, not a synthetic.

I think Phillips66 is limited in their distribution range...for example in my area we see 76 and some Kendall, all part of ConocoPhillips Corp.

About a year ago there was a lot of positive discussion in regards to TropArtic on this board, which has completely susided for some time now.

I guess we have our fads too ... it's GC right now, but that will be over soon too ......
