I own a 2006 SCION tC. I believe it has the same engine. It came with 5w30, but Toyota/SCION just published a TSB that stated - and I'm only paraphrasing here - to use 5w20 in 2006 and up 2.4L fours.
I'm still not sure yet if I'm going to 5w20, but I don't recall the 0w20 being mentioned.
I'll see if I can find the info again.

I still don't understand why Toyota only applied this TSB to 2006 and newer cars. My 2005 4cyl is identical to the 2006 2AZ-FE.

Me either. I have an 2002 2AZ-FE, why only 2006+

CAFE rules at play?

Well, who says it's identical?
I'm sure they made some changes that aren't published there.
I'm not going to argue with the guys that made my car, and I think we all should listen.
A number of people have written SCION and they replied with the same info - reiterating that '04-'05 units are different.
