Anyone that has a Nexus 7 that dies for no reason pop the back cover off and check the battery connector.Wife's did this and after checking the web for problems with these tablets I found this is a common problem. There is a catch latch on the connector and if it is not fully pushed in so the latch fully engages the connector will come lose and the tablet will lose power, and they are leaving the Asus factory like this.Pushed the connector in so the latch locked in and running fine again. [censored] QC at Asus for sure!
Hope this helps. DD

The wife likes it just fine, got mainly for surfing the web and e-mail while not having to sit at the computer desk. She also reads books on hers. Just so we wouldnt be mixing them up I got a Samsung Galaxy II 7". No big difference between the two as they both use the same operating system. Nexus 7 comes with 16g of memory where the Galaxy comes with 8g but can be expanded to more as it takes a SD card with an adapter. Same size and dimensions but feels like the Nexus is just a tick lighter. Samsung was $5 cheaper than the Nexus. Either one will serve you well. DD
