I made it to Florida and I'm delivering the car tomorrow morning. Some of you have inquired about the gas mileage and I was curious too.

I put 1789 miles on the car and it consumed 39.66 gallons of fuel. So by my calculations, Junior's new car got 45.1mpg. I'm impressed and the fuel mileage may increase a bit as it breaks in.

I feel a little guilt delivering my son his first new car with 1800 miles on it but he is ecstatic and very happy with it.

That’s a good way to do it. A reliable Corolla for the mundane chores and commutes in life and toys for everything else.
