Mobil 1: 5-30 vs 0-30

I have noticed a generalized dislike of M1 5-30 from many BITOG posters, but a generalized praise of M1 0-30 from many. Is there differences between these two oils other than the viscosity?

Better base stock, group IV or V, are used for 0Wxx. PAO is used for M1 0W30.

There are three Mobil 1 5W-30 oils - the standard issue, the EP, and a Truck and SUV version.
