Or perhaps Mann&Hummel (co-owners or Puro since 06, sole owners since 03/13) should stop cannibalizing Purolator US and Puro branded filters/products and invest/re-invest in QC/QA and R&D for Purolator US filters.
Looking for villain in the tear spate of Purolator filters posted here, the buck stops directly at the door of Mann&Hummel imo.
As for topic filter, as said this MGL 51516 with Wix' traditional metal coil spring thread end bypass makes it a solid value oil filter. The OP's filter exemplifies that.
Other MGL's which use a 'combo valve', I'd be less enthusiastic about. Just me.
