I gather "best deal" equals "cheapest price".

Wix has always been one of the more expensive filters (K&N, Mobil 1, and Amsoil being the most expensive), so I don't see how Wix can be the cheapest.

Oh well.


Wix has long made entry level filters, they just won't put the "Wix" name on them they are all sold as store brands. For example Carquest and Napa both sell value filters made by Wix.
 
So far they have not increased their prices. But I suspect it may be because there are still many of the Fram-made models on the shelf yet. I hope not because that'll be a pretty good deal for O'Reilly's to use a WIX sourced filter for their OC specials. Time will tell...

Partsmaster is same as this. but the ones i bought have cobo nitrile valve. 61515

Napa ProSelect and AutoExtra are all same as this-looks like a well made strong oil filter
 
how many pleats did it have? half as much as the wix or just about as much as the real wix?

this seems much better than the fram microgard which was like an OCOD
