The set that came on my used '07 Explorer have been fine. I've only put on about 10,000 miles on them (were basically brand new when I bought it), but they appear to be wearing fine, run quiet, and have decent enough dry and wet traction. No idea on snow capability - I run dedicated snow tires in the winter.
Their gravel/grass/mud traction is also less than ideal, but that is not what they are meant for, so I don't mark the tire down for that.
