I recently bought a couple filters. After looking at the packaging I found that the Puralator Pure One and the K&N are made in the USA. What other filters are still being made here?

The one I use on my wife's Mercedes is a good example of a foreign made Wix (cartridge filter).

The Wix I use on my VW is USA made.

I have some WIX that are made in the USA and I have some that are made in Mexico.

Purolator and FRAM both have filters that are made in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Austria, and Korea.

No, the Wix made ones are from Mexico.

How can someone find out which ones are Wix made?

Good to know... I didn't know there were some made elsewhere.

Some of the stuff like AC varies. Considering the lack of real world proof of the worth of better filters, perhaps country of origin should be a major factor in selecting filters. Check the box, if it isn't made in the USA, throw it on the floor and hope the security camera catches it.

I use the EAO20 on my truck. It works great and is built very well inside from the ones I have taken apart. They aren't on siesta when my filters were made!
