I have a bunch of small r-134a cans, and at some point, I'd like to use them. I help top off cars now and again, though fortunately my cars are currently pretty tight and leak free. My concern is if I tap a can and dont use it all, I don't want it to all leak out, and static pressure on a summer day is 70-90 psi.

What's a good brand/type of can tap that won't leak out all the refrigerant once the can is pierced? It may take me a few years to use one small can.

Thanks!

I use a Mastercool 85510 tap for top-off cans. I put a drop of mineral oil on the gasket before tapping, and don't over-torque. No problems with leakage yet.

They're kind of pricey, though. I bought a set of 3 off of eBay years ago for a decent price.
