Just anther Filtech Honda A01 Cut open

Nothing special here just another quality Filtech Honda A01 filter dissected. Love the build quality on these, and a lot of you love this filter as well

2008 Civic Si K20z3
A01 w/5w30 Pennzoil Ultra Platinum
Filter was on the car for about 1 year and 5k miles. (Yes I dont drive it much)

Nice and unexciting, which is good. Oil looks quite clean and the filter material still looks nice and amber. I assume that the Civic gets regular and frequent oil changes to have cleanliness like that. How many miles on the car?

Just cross 40k miles and yes I'm very anal with my cars. Religiously 3-5k miles on oil changes. Yes I know its a waste but thats just how I am lol

Another A01 went on back on the car. I have a bunch so I will continue to use them.

I have cut open many of these same filters, and similar A02, and Fram counterparts from our 06 Odyssey and they all look barely used, partly because of the frequent oil changes and i think the Honda engines are fairly easy on the oil. Those are great filters. You may consider leaving the filter on for two oil changes. I just started doing just that on the Odyssey (@ 149K miles) but obviously do what keeps you and the Civic happy. It‘s apparent you’re doing something right.

i bought a **** ton years ago from HandA when they were readily available and i had multiple hondas in the house. when these run out ill swtich to a Fram Ultra
