The Romans "adopted" a lot of Greek gods (for example, the Greek god Herakles became the Roman Hercules), so the use of Chiron as a name for an Italian car wouldn't surprise me. But as Pablo said, he was a centaur from Greek mythology. I wouldn't quite call him a god, but you get the jist....
