Is running 5w-30 okay if the manual specs 5w-20

I thought group II and III were "better" dino oils by definition? Besides OCI what possible advantages for this engine could there be using a Syntec, Mobil 1 or Amsoil?

Castrol GTX (UOA in 2,000 more miles)
Honda Genuine "Mobile" Motor Oil 5w-20 (next)
Exxon Superflo 5w-20 (for comparison)
Schaeffers 5w-20 (when I can get some)

Amsoil 5w-20 (Group III? Why no series 2000?)
Mobil 1 0w-20 (on the sly)
?????? (Something I don't even know about now.)

17,000 miles from now I'll might be able to answer my own questions.
