How to get rid of (almost) dead vehicle? $

Toyota and rust protection are three words never to used in the same sentence. Though, the American-made models using PPG pre-treatment and paint are better than their Japanese counterparts that use Kansai Paint’s versions of such. Honda still holds the crown for bad paint.

Japanese cars were also death traps until recently.

No doubt on the Honda paint lol. I thought Japanese had always been the safest cars?

Oh no, they were mostly tin cans. Especially up against giant domestics.

European brands developed things like good seat belts, crumple zones, and good headrests. GM was the first with production airbags I think, but abandoned it for a while.

This thread makes me feel lucky I got $430 for my old BMW 530i with a blown head gasket. They even took it away.

If it has a keyed ignition then it is certainly worth getting rid of.

Have to either repair an 04 Trailblazer or salvage. Been in the family since new and still has no rust and original exhaust. Have not yet called for salvage value, repairs over $3000 and it`s over 190,000 miles.

If it has a keyed ignition then it is certainly worth getting rid of.

I was going to type that about anything with a programmable $250 fob.
Just utilize a manual transmission as the ultimate theft deterrent.

Why not just sell? I would assume anything without rust up there is got to be worth at least a thousand if it runs.

This model seems to sell for under 1,000 running as there are so many on the market. Thanks for the input though.
