I have a 2012 Accord and it definitely is not a single stage paint job. It is a base coat and clear coat. Mine is metallic gray and it proving to be pretty durable as it has 55,000 miles and no rock chips yet. Paint looks brand new still:

IF necessary a machine polish once a year is safe providing the person using the machine knows what they are doing and uses a mild polish.

The white color is what's single stage apparently. When I was at work, I was taking a closer look at those from about that year and they do appear to be single stage. Subject to fade when neglected. Don't really see clearcoats fading after just a few years... If it was my car, I would just clay and seal it annually. Wash it every other week and follow each wash with Meguiars D156. Hit it with the California Duster when it's just dusty. You shouldn't have to polish but every once in a great while.
