How long does unopened GC last?

Most definitely! My last UOA posted this summer was with the M03 batch of GC and it still showed excellent results. I'm just now beginning to get into my supply of the M04 batches.

Remember, the M04 stuff was produced in 2004, so it's only a couple of years old. Even if it were five years old you'd probably be safe.

Most likely the formula will be obsolete long before the oil changes to any measurable degree.

I have some '03 stuff on my hands. I'd rather use this "obsolete" formula then some of the "advanced" stuff from certain major players...

That's great.
I only have one qt. of it left. I've decided to switch from M1 reg. 5w-30 to GC. It'll be used in my 2000 Ford Explorer w/ the 5.0 (5k intervals), so there shouldn't be any loss of gas milage.

I was going to do a UOA on the M1 currently in my crankcase, but seeing as I have decided to switch, I'll just wait and run one on the GC.

I'll have to mix the green w/ the gold, hope my motor doesn't get blowed up!!
