One thing is certain - the hub-centric vs lug-centric argument will still be going on long after we have flying cars. You've read my opinion - it's true that some wheels are lug-centric deliberately, but the vast majority are not, and most open-hub afm wheels simply need hub spacers to work correctly. My opinion of course, but one backed by 10 years in the biz.
But we can put this to bed another way - the CRV wheels won't fit. Kia's pattern is 5x5.5", Honda CRV is 5x4.5". Offset is wrong too. Interchange across manufacturers is very rare. I could probably count the number of wheels that can interchange like that without even taking my shoes off.
