This is the Schaeffer oil.
That’s not very impressive at all. Fairly high VI, and therefore VII, evidenced by the shear loss rate of 12%(!), fairly low TBN, fairly high Noack…

M1 0w40 would definitely be above the Schaeffer’s on my list.

You could always see if HPL would ship you the oil you need… you’d just have VAT or whatever else your country has on top of oil & shipping costs. 😔

One of Bitog’s high performance snowmobile enthusiasts is @Srt20. Perhaps he can give you an opinion that reflects the Wisconsin crowd.
Sorry I haven’t been on in awhile.

I do love high performance sleds/engines. Though I’m far from an oil expert.

If it were mine, I’d use an easy to get, off the shelf 0w-40, 5w-40, maybe even a 5w-50. But either way, I would make sure it’s fully up to temp, including oil temp, before flogging it hard.

I have 2 1200 SD, '09 and a '13. M1 0-40w in both since their first oil changes. The '09 has 10k miles on it now, no issues. Use Doo oil filters.
