I have a 3 cylinder 1200cc Turbo 4 stroke Rotax engine in my snowmobile.
I have used the XPS 0W40 oil for some years and the sled has had a 250hp turbokit.
This year the engine has been rebuilt with almost the double horsepower, very much more boost and over 9000rpm.
The manual calls for a 0W40 API-SN or better, but that is for a stock 130HP NA.

What 0W40 oils would you recommend you who analyze lab reports and know the goodies and bads in the oil.

The oils that i can get hold of here nearby is Mobil1,Castrol,ENI,Red Line,XPS,
Schaeffer,Motul and Valvoline.
But it is no problem to order brands such as Royal Purple and Ravenöl,Liqui Moly,Motorex and Amsoil by mail.

I am not sure but i belive HPL have no dealers here in Norway.

As you can ser I am more of a reader than a writer.

Thanks for your help.

M1 FS 0w40 would be my call. I'd look to get a UOA and see how it's holding up, if it's excessively shearing or showing high levels of wear materials then step up to M1 FS 5w50.

Meanwhile, here’s a bit of eye candy from the snowmobile crowd in the Canadian Rocky mountains. I posted this in 2020.

Is there going to be increased oil temps for more than a few seconds?

doubt you want to go thicker in winter.

I used to run RP HPS 5-30 in an 840cc Raptor that I drag raced, it made 130HP at 9200 RPMs, always got excellent service from the oil.

Yeah you could..but its no point.
The sled got 3 different fuelmaps for different fuel and boost.

-Low boost lowest octane pump fuel
-More boost for normal use and premium pump fuel
-High boost for dragracing with racefuel.
