Alright guys, I've searched and hounded the net. What I'm trying to do is find a Motorcraft oil filter for my '07 Accord 4cyl. I just don't like any of the off-bat options. The Purolators have the weird model bypass and the tube doesn't go all the way down. The Filtec Honda filter A01 doesn't have any end caps, so the pleats are glued back to back and there is no endcaps to ensure no dirty bypass. The wix is a nice filter, but the bypass eats up most the can, so I'm not left with a lot f media height and it's through the roof expensive at $8.23. I've been very happy with the price, availability and construction of Motorcraft Oil filters. I used to run the FL400S on my Toyotas and loved it for under $4. So, I've been looking at MC filters and only came up with:
FL821, FL822 & FL2007. That's the only 20 x 1.5's I found. Honda says to change the oil filter every OTHER oil change. And I have a oil life meter, so this filter will be in service easily 10k. I'm going to call Car quest tomorrow and see if they can get the Denso, they said CQ is a vendor. But at what price and hassle. So far the Denso or P1 is my best bet. I also wouldn't mind going oversided a bit while I'm at it. But with no charts, that's hard to do. But I'm seriously trying to get a stock sized Motorcraft and a oversized Motorcraft.
