That's what you get for mingling with the literally unwashed masses. Probably populated primarily by grunting, crusty and scabby oilheads with plumber's butt and little interest in appearances and how they smell.

I think you hit the greasy and slightly stinky nail on the head. Most forum denizens are likely way past sell by date gearhead oil change monkeys sporting beerguts and a diy haircut. And that includes me.

hotwheels -- you do not HAVE TO mingle with bitog's "unwashed masses".don't come on the board, since this is how you feel.obviously, you think that your feces doesn't stink.
the site deals with lubricants, and car maintenance, for the most part.
perhaps, your comment is due to the thin air, up on the high horse, and resulted in a momentary lapse of reason.i'll go with that, and give you the benefit of the doubt.it is always good to hear this type of comment from a bitog veteran of 2 months.

the reality is that the mods already have too much with which to deal, since there are about 53,000 members, and 66 forums to monitor. put simply, it's too much babysitting.

your "interesting" posts, on this thread, could have you dubbed as the new " 'prone", in terms of entertainment value.
all nine of us here thank you for the laughs.now, back to playing cards. have a good evening, 'prone 2. I like that -- 'prone 2.

Nose hair removal.

As I'm getting on in age my whippersnapper teenage son loves to point out when my nose hair is showing.

Should I buy a separate trimmer or carefully use scissors?

Maybe beer, shaving, and grooming is best left in the General and Off Topic section.

I am surprised at the lack of interest as well...

I spend no more than $15 on Schick Hydro cartridges per year, and I use a 3 guard all around about 6 times a year on my dome. I still don't see a need for a shaving/deodorant forum.

I think there are too many Forums on this site already, I'm not too interested in motor oil, I think it was done to death years ago, for non fanatics like me.

I am interested in everything else, but sometimes there seem to be too many Forums to scan first thing in the morning.

That's what you get for mingling with the literally unwashed masses. I must say I am rather disapppointed at all those dismissive replies. Then again, painting with a wide brush, this is primarily an oil forum, probably populated primariliy by grunting, crusty and scabby oilheads with plumber's butt and little interest in appearances and how they smell. I'm surprised I'm still surprissed!

Well, if that is really your opinion of everybody here I wonder why you come here. This is a motor oil forum and guys talk about motor oils, oil filters, fuel system cleaners, etc. What did you expect?

I have been here a long time and there are some very smart people here. And most of them probably shave, brush their teeth, and take showers every day. They just don't worry that much about what brand of cleaning and grooming products they are going to use. Most guys have things to do and can't stand in front of a mirror all day.

After unwanted nose hair growth comes hair growth first from the ear canal, next you will grow tufts from the tragus and as the last and final step to becoming a full-on werewolf, fur will begin to cover the helix.

hotwheels.

I think you guys just MAY be a bit harsh with Hotwheels.

If I am not way off base here....I think his "unwashed" comment is more about sarcasm and poking fun with the members.

1. You are in the Off Topic Post Forum yourself, in case you are lost. The oil forums are over there. -->
2. After replying to two of your posts recently, you accused me of stalking you. To how many of my posts, and with what content, have you replied since, and what does that modus operandi constitute in your opinion?
3. You frequently make inferences, insinuations and associations based on what seems to probably not only me like symptoms of some underlying issues.
4. You fink very selectively on the use of profanity.

Also, if you don't want me to reply to you, just don't post. That's a really simple solution.

Frankly I think it is an excellent idea, I am sick to death of the political correctness that would have folks up in arms about doing so.

This is really funny! Anybody can check and see I did not even post any replies in this thread until the 4th page! It is not as if I am following you around. The last time I checked, people have a right to post in threads.

You are just upset that your Grooming and Hygiene Forum idea didn't go over so well.

Well, I agree with Trav, Turk, and demarpaint.

Until you find such a forum, I suggest you use a safety razor instead of a straight razor - or your planned career may take an unexpected turn.

I don't know that we need a forum on grooming and hygiene.

But one thing I can't stand is being around people that have no concept of good personal hygiene. The last thing I want to smell is the putrid fumes wafting from some random strangers smelly bunghole, while going about my day.

I'm as much of a gear head as anyone. My life pretty much revolves around racing. I get dirty on a regular basis. But I always take a shower and clean up as soon as possible.

I purchased a trimmer from amazon for around 10-15 bucks. Works very well and has a fine head for ear and nose hair and a larger head with an adjustable guard for sideburns. Works very well and the AA battery lasts for months.
