Replaced by upgraded TCM # 1943 1596 now available @ GM dealerships.

There was an 18 month wait for these TCMs. Used modules were going for a fortune.
My 2011 LML with the Allison 1000 went into limp mode 3 weeks ago.
I lost the PRNDL indicator and every code lit up.
I was able to reboot the transmission faults with my Bully Dog tuner and limped to the transmission shop.
The Snap-On code reader was able to reset all the faults and turn off the check engine light.
Everything worked normal, for 5 minutes before the dash lit up and the PRNDL went out again.
The local Chev dealership just received the new modules and I was back in business.
The Snap On program could not match the module to the VIN.
The truck was limped to the dealership and for $123 Canadian tax included the flash up was completed.

The new module is an improvment from the old one with higher rpm shift points and it'sdown shifting on decending grades
which I had to do manually with the old TCM.
Shifts are quicker and on the first long trip, fuel economy improved 2%.

The Ford TCMs for the Focus and Fiesta DSP6 dual clutch transmissions were on backorder going back to 2020. They are more available now since about 10 showed up from old orders. Mazda TCMs for the 5 speed autos have been on and off backorder for a while now.
