I did this UOA more than year ago so it was still green stuff. The story of this sample is that it was taken from a container that previously had break-in oil in it and I'm afraid it wasn't completely clean before I dumped GC in it. This may explain higher lead but who knows

The previous analysis was done on BMW synthetic 5W-30.

What was the previous oil used in this engine? It looks like the Mobil 1, 0w-40 ....

The lead could be from overuse of fuel additives or even switching brands of gasoline ....

The container didn't have anything to do with it. Its not much different than the 15% or so of used oil that stays in an engine when you put in the new oil. We are talking extremely small small dilutions in your case. I don't see that lead/iron numbers as anything to be concerned about
