Garmin Nuvi 40

Hi,
I need a budget GPS for a p/t job I have.

Knowing Garmin seems to be consistently rated at the top, is there any reason I should consider something else?

Ease of use, and inputting of addresses quickly are my top priorities. I don't need real-time traffic updates, etc.

Ive had the nuvi 40 for over a year now, upgraded from a Nuvi 255W. The 40 is excellent, very fast processing times vs prior models (prior models were excellent too).

Get it, you wont be unhappy.

I have not seen a cell phone match a Garmin. If close enough or about the right hundred block is good enough then use the cell phone. If getting the fastest or shortest path to the correct address is you focus then you should consider the Garmin. Cell phones are okay most of the time but if really need to get where you're going the Garmin is the one.

Yeah, I am old school or cheap. My cell phone is a phone and texting instrument. I am behind the times..
