2. Late 1960's Japan tin Litho friction cement truck
3. 1966 Matchbox Lesney Fire chief

LOVE those lps!!!!!! Are those Cream lps UK pressings? That`s a band for some reason I`ve never added to my collection. I need to grab copies of them!! I got these two today:

June 21 2014 garage sale finds.
I got lucky today. Went looking for garage sales in an older neighbourhood.
Stopped at one and found a few items:

1. Vintage unopened 1958 Canada Dry Old English Ginger Beer Bottle - $3.00

2. Vintage 1976 Electrohome model C24-301 Color 9" Portable TV - Made in Japan, nice shape, Regular price was $349 back in the day. - $5.00

(TV came with the elusive Sony AN-15 UHF Antenna I needed for my 1969 Sony Trinitron)

3. 7 vintage Auto tins including 3 unopened Oil cans - $15.00

excellent finds!

With a Nakamichi and Akai (glass ferrite head), I'm still occasionally use tapes @ home: TDK D (type 1), Sony HF (type 1) and Maxell LM (type 1) are my regular faves. I do use Type 4 tapes (metal) such as TDK and Sony...works wonders in my machines.

I bought them from thrift store these days...

No major scores for this week. Did find a few items though.

- 3 blanks cassettes - 25 cents each
- 1968 Hot wheels Splittin image, nice shape, - 25 cents
- TDK SA90 blank cassette - 50 cents
- 2 LP records (sealed Heart), (RUN DMC in shrink) - $5.00
- Various vintage tins, some still full - $7.00

Not a garage sale find per se, but I found this Kenwood receiver for $10 on CL some time ago. I use it to drive two speakers and a sub in my garage...

Wow. We've gotten some decent stuff at garage sales but never nice old stuff like that. People generally throw that stuff out first. Nice finds.

I didn't catch that at first. Yep,I remember the redline wheels. I think all my old Hot Wheels from when I was a kid have the redlines.
