I can't tell you the last time I used it...maybe late '90s in a '92 Toyota truck I had.
Castrol was all over my area.back then I was 15.1990. I worked in a grade a market Stamford CT. The auto section,still thier, carried Castrol GTX. White containers,orange caps I think but oddly,last time I ever looked at them was 1993/94 . I remember seeing near trademark inback,Australia. I took it it was made their or something. Something with Australia was printed in small green letters near bottom left of the Castrol motor oils then.
Now, they carry shell oil. And Pennzoil. Synth blends.no more Castrol.

My 1974 VW Super Beetle lived on a diet of Castrol 20W-50 GTX for over 300K . . . obviously something was working.
