fuelsystem cleaner affect on engine oil?

Hi all.

I just poured in some fuel system/combustion chamber cleaner in the petrol tank and filled it up. I do this every 10.000 km. The product I use I tunap micrologic 272. I don,t know if it is available in the US.

Does anybody know if the burning of those system cleaning products affects the engine oil in any way. Would it be a good idea to use it just before oil change or has it no affect at all.

Fact is SOME fuel will make it into the oil, which means some fuel system cleaner will too. Whether or not it does any damage or not, I dont know. I choose to use Techron right before my oil change, as I dont want to risk anything. Its going to clean up crud in the fuel system, injectors and combustion chamber, I dont want any of that sitting in the oil for any period of time.

If you're doing trended UOAs, it might be something to consider. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it in the least, unless the manufacturer of the product says otherwise.
