Because I rather show I installed a name brand part than the cheapest bottom of the barrel part. Gives buyers more confidence and car sells quicker and for more.
Not sure on this late of models, but make sure the strut mount is the same height from the end. One of the 2002-2007 Impreza hacks was to use Forester struts to lift the car; the strut body was the same but the spring mount was welded on 2” higher, which lifts the whole car. Don’t want that to happen if you’re only doing the fronts
The struts definitely were and the brake pads were half worn. The ball joints, control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and tie rod ends probably not, but they are so cheap and since I'm already there, might as well. Showing the front end was just rebuilt will help sell the car.
