also pull the muffler to check for any scoring. You could also do a compression test. I don’t have much experience with husky, but I have worked on many Stihl saws.

If that saw uses an intake boot and impulse line I’d examine those VERY carefully. Basically with the age of the saw any rubber part is suspect. I highly recommend oem parts. A lot of the aftermarket rubber parts are complete junk.
