Datsun 4 speed gear oil, GL4 or GL5 MT-1

Does the 240Z tranny spec atf? The 80s era 300ZX's did w/Tremec T5 trannys. What kind've tranny do 240's have? If it specs a GL4 gear oil,I'd go with Amsoil MTG. If it specs atf,I'd go with Amsoil MTF.

Nope they spec GL4. I've been running the Stalube 85w90 GL4 and it shifts like NEW. It's been great so far.

Anyone know where to buy this Stalube 85-90 at a chain auto parts store or other chain stores?

I don't know if it is exclusively carried at Napa's but thats the only place I have ever seen it.

I was checking the NAPA website and didn't find it.

I can't remember if it's on their website but it should be in all their stores. They have 85W90 and SAE140,both in GL4.
