I went to Mobil 5000 because I wasn't sure how GTX would be in my truck after 5000 miles. I like to stick to 5000mile intervals since it's easier to remember. Looks like it could handle it.
The 5000 miles here included a 1200 mile road trip. Most of the way I was just cruising at traffic speeds in Southern California warm weather. The other 3800 miles is a good mix of city/hwy.
Look at how low that TBN is? This is not going to be an oil I would want to try an extended OCI that is for sure! The wear metals all look ok except for tin! I am not used to seeing this much tin in a short OCI on a Toyota unless they silicone is high and your silicone levels where not that bad. Check your air box and make sure it is all fited tightly and all your house's and such for leaks!
Thanks for all the input. Should I worry about that tin?
Looks like I'll stick with GTX. I'll skip the UOA on the Mobil 5000. No sense spending $30 to save $1.50 every oil change. (Mobil5000 is $11 vs GTX $12.50 at my closest WalMart)
