Can I use 80 Watt bulbs in low beam housings with stock wiring?

Are/Is the cars with the 9005/9006 2 headlight on each side system, considered better than the single 9007 on each side.
Mine is an 2001, but I see in 2006 or maybe sooner, Grand Prix went back to the 9005/9006 set up.

I personally like two bulb headlight assemblies. That way the designer (hopefully) design the reflector to be optimized for each bulb. Because the focal points will be different in a 2-in-1 bulb in the reflector behind it. Plus with my scion tC when high beams are on, the low beams are on at the same time! FOUR bulbs of light instead of the Civic where high beams shut the built in low beam filament and you only have TWO bulbs of light.. That's my opinion.. the light on the tC is amazing at night.
