Are these filers the same or different?

I figure it's worth the extra money for the nut on the end. That should save some headaches.

I recently bought a Fram cap/wrench thing from Walmart. It's a cap, about an inch or two thick. Fits over the filter, locks in, and has a nut on it. $3.65 or so.
Haven't tried it yet... but looks like it'll work good.

I think a gear wrench would work easier.

LS1, not much turn room. Last time I used Channel-Locks I mangled the oil filter pretty good.

The filters are different - the K&N - basically the same as a Mobil 1 is made by Champion labs. The Bosch filters are made by Purolator and have a bit less filtering media that a Pure one.
