Does anyone know who manufactured the water pumps for BMW M57. Looking for a good quality pump for mine. Thermostat too.

Only Pierburg pump I can find is on Auto doc and that’s out of stock.
Graf, VDO will do it.
Got to be honest here, I’ve never heard of Graf, I take it you rate them? I need something that lasts as this car needs To be reliable for work.
Graf is well known here. I think it is Italian. They are selling upgraded VW pumps (aluminum housing).
I think they are OE on some EUropean models.
I did not rank them. I used Pierburg on my M57 and now on N52.
Just to confirm we are talking about the belt driven pump on the block. Not an electric pump.

Saleri was what I bought for my BMW. The construction seemed somewhat better than Graf.
I went with Saleri a couple years ago.
It was easy to eliminate some of the options, based on their crude-looking origami impellers held together with tack welds.
A long while ago, issues with the OE composite impeller pumps made that a bad word for a while, until the metal ones started to have issues as well, and the factory reverted to composite again. It's not necessarily the material, but how it's implemented.
