hey guys another prob with this great truck lol my fan for my heat wasnot working so i put a new blower motor in still not working im not sure if its the resistor although i hear common prob truck is a 92 gmc s15 jimmy im stumped

You need to check volts at the connection, find the resistor check for volts there, & the switch. Its possible that a module controls the fan speeds and they are known to fail.

The resistor pack on the fan housing, and/or it's connector are common problems.
Too bad you jumped the gun and got a new fan motor.
Like mentioned, check for voltage at different settings. A fuse could be all it is.

This is what the inside of my GM failed fan motor looks like. Mechanically perfect, electronically garbage.

One more thing:
Even though resistor packs and their connectors often go bad by themselves, a puked fan motor will cause a resistor pack to fry because of no airflow around it. It needs airflow to keep from overheating.
