So far, I feel bad for the first story teller. The tire tech is a mixed bag. If the college professor wants to watch his baby and thinks it should come back better than before it went into the shop, well I tend to agree with that view. After all, if you are paying for a service, the expectation is not that the tires will get better, but the car will be worse in other ways.
I work in a service business, so I've had my share of outrageous customers. Sometimes, one is better off to fire a customer than to try to earn his money. I think that's what I would do if I was the first story teller. Fix the girls car and tell her that you no longer want to do business with her or her father. Politely, of course.
